Who are we?
A mix of Italians and Belgians, who all have a passion for a memorable results created by natural products and minimal interference.

Since a young age, Thomas has had a passion for food. Over the years his experience, knowledge and expertise has grown with him. Always curious, always learning. Thanks to the various restaurants where he’s worked, he’s been able to develop a personal style where respect for locally sourced ingredients is the common line. Here, he’ll thrive with the local ingredients from our friend farmers, our own vegetable garden and foraged produce to cook up a feast.

Marcel is a passionate winemaker, selling his wine all over Europe. From the many winemakers in this region, he stands out as one of the few that dares to experiment with different grapes and fermentation processes. He’s always trying to give us goats or roosters, since these helpers not only help him maintain a natural vineyard, but also keep breeding… (Get in touch if you want one).

What’s cooking?
If it’s not local, it’s from our vegetable garden. If it’s not from our vegetable garden, it’s foraged. If it’s not foraged, it’s from our fermentation cellar. If it’s not from there, then at least it’s homemade. If it’s not homemade, it’s from our farmer friends. And wherever it’s from, the chance is high it’ll be cooked over an open fire.
Where are we staying?
Far away from the outside world, in the heart of an untouched valley, surrounded by unspoilt nature, Rifugio Val di Togno is the perfect hideway to get away from it all. Come with your friend, family or lover. Or come on your own, the group will welcome you with open arms.

The prices include all meals, beverages, a massage, the winetasting and transportation to and from the airport.
All beds as seen in the photos, can be divided into 2 singles (except for the bed in the Studio).
Every room has it’s own bathroom.
Get in touch for the price if you want a private room.
The East Room has a single beds and/or a bunkbed. Thus the price difference.
* The studio only has a divant lit, meaning it can’t be separated into 2 single beds. Ideal for 2 friends or a couple, perhaps not so for strangers.
** The East Room sleeps four people. Two of them in a bunk bed. Therefore this is the most economic room, and the most economic price preserved for those sleeping in the bunkbed.

DAY 1
Friday 11/09

You make your way from wherever you are to us!

You make your way from the airport to Sondrio, where we will pick you up. Get in touch, perhaps we can organize a taxi with the other participants.

Welcome! Finally! We have a drink and a light-late-lunch ready, also a welcome speech which we will try to keep short. Time to get settled into your rooms and get ready for a little stroll/forage.

After a little forage, we will have an aperitivo ready for you. After that, sit down and let yourself be taken on a culinary trip!
DAY 2
Saturday 12/09

Good morning! After breakfast, we’ll start our beautiful hike to the furthest alpine meadow, Alpe Painale. A walk of 7km one way, 800m elevation, along the stunning river and it’s waterfalls, through meadows full of marmots…

We have a picnic in Alpe Painale, and then slowly make our way back down to the Rifugio.

Once we get back, we can get into the wine tasting with Marcel Zanolari!

After the wine tasting, it’s time to spoil yourself for once and sit down for a delicious dinner.
DAY 3
Sunday 13/09

Today, we relax! Depending on if you have your massage in the morning or afternoon, you can still go for a little 3 hour hike before or after.

Thomas will have prepared a delicious lunch for all.

Same goes. If you’ve already had your massage, you can now go for a walk. Or if you have your massage in the afternoon, you can go for a hike in the morning.

After a nice dinner, it’s time to sit back and relax. And maybe, if the weather is our friend, we can have a campfire and enjoy the stars.
DAY 4
Monday 14/09

Let’s enjoy a slow morning while Thomas prepares a delicious brunch.

After brunch there’s time to walk down to the chauffeurs or to wait for us to take you.

Transportation from Sondrio or Arquino to the Rifugio. All meals. All beverages: kombucha, coffee, a cocktail for aperitivo and table wine. All activities such as wine tasting, guided walks and a massage.

Hiking boots. A daypack. A reusable water bottle. A warm set of clothes for star gazing. Comfy clothes for hanging. Perhaps a rain jacket, we are in the mountains. Slippers for inside (it’s a shoe free house).

Outbound Flight
Flight with EasyJet from Brussels to Milan Linate at 09:25 AM.
Return Flight
Flight with ITA Airways from Milan Linate to Brussels at 17:40 PM.
These flights are suggested options, which help us coordinate the minibuses that will pick you up from the station.
Of course, you’re also welcome to travel to Arquino by car or take the train to Sondrio, where we’ll organize transport for you from there.
Flights are not included in the price.

Your spot is considered confirmed once half of the total amount has been paid.

This depends on which room you select. Cheapest is €900,-, most expensive is €1.050,- per person, total stay.

We cook healthy, local and vegetarian food. Get in touch if you have any dietary restrictions, we can accommodate.

In case of cancellation, refunds are calculated based on the total required payment as follows:
75% refund — if canceled 30 days or more before arrival
50% refund — if canceled 14 days or more before arrival
25% refund — if canceled 7 days or more before arrival
5% refund — if canceled 2 days or more before arrival
No refund — if canceled less than 2 days before arrival
If you can no longer attend, you may transfer your spot to another participant, provided this is communicated and confirmed in writing ahead of time.
